Among Us is a social deduction apex hack that takes place on a space ship and involves players being able to identify impostors. It’s similar to Werewolf, but with a twist. It’s one of the most engaging Android games that can be played with up to 10 teammates. The game requires teamwork and good deductive skills to point out the impostor before they get killed. The developers of this game, Innersloth, have recently had to address a cyberattack that is affecting the players’ in-game experience.
According to the developer, the attack started at some time on Thursday. The hackers were able to gain access to the Among Us servers and bombarded the player’s in-game chats with messages that promoted a cryptic handle called Eris Loris, prompting them to subscribe to their YouTube channel and vote for Donald Trump in 2020. They also reportedly warned that if they didn’t subscribe, their devices would be hacked.
What are power words
This is just the latest in a long line of attacks on various video games. It’s not the first time that a whodunnit social deduction game has been affected by hacking. In the case of Among Us, the hackers have been circulating information that spoils the entire purpose of the game’s mystery. For example, they’re using a backchannel to share restricted information with each other and, in the process, ruin the fun of guessing, deliberating and accusing one another. They’re also revealing the identity of the dead crewmate which defeats the whole point.
